Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to your data when you read Whisker Why (whiskerwhy.com). The short version: you can read every page without an account, we do not set tracking cookies, and we do not sell personal data.

What is collected

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time, to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse. We use this only in aggregate (for example, to see which pages are read) and for security.

Cookies

Whisker Why does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies when it detects suspicious traffic.

Search

Words you type into the site search are used to find matching answers and are not stored with your identity.

Advertising

The site does not show ads today. If we add advertising later, this policy will be updated before it goes live to explain which provider is used, which cookies it sets and how to opt out.

Links to other sites

Answers link to their sources, such as veterinary and scientific websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
